The core mission of the Football Development League is to promote, protect and develop professional football in Pondicherry at every level of the game. We aim to promote the principles of discipline, unity, solidarity, professionalism, pride and respect for players, coaches, referees and all supporting functionaries within Pondicherry Football.

The league is designed with well-organized and structured competitions for the residence of Pondicherry that assure the identification and development of talented players and facilitates the playing of attractive and competitive football in Pondicherry region.

FDL's goal is to enrich the football talents in Pondicherry to get more match practice, professional team appearance and professional training under licensed coaches. The league also focus the growth of the referees by providing regular matches.

The motto of the Football Development League is to practice football through discipline and assures that in all that we do we care about football.
